⦁ OXYGEN IS NOT COLOURLESS!

The fact is, oxygen is pale blue when it is in liquid form, because of an unpaired pair of electrons in its outmost shell. Colour arises due to the absorption and emission of visible light by an atom or molecule. Each atom or molecule only absorbs and emits at particular wavelengths of light. However Gaseous oxygen is colorless and odorless because all light in the visible range is reflected by gaseous oxygen. It doesn’t absorb any of it, so we just see straight through the gas.

We all have heard about the rain of water. Have anyone ever imagined that the sky can rain something other than water? It is weird to hear that somewhere outside the Earth, there can be the rain of Diamonds! Scientists have observed the possibility that Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn can produce diamonds as their atmospheres have such a great pressure that they can eventually crystallize carbon atoms and turn them into diamonds.

The newborns of the Giant Panda are actually these tiny pink and bald baby beasts. Panda babies are the smallest newborn mammals relative to their mother’s size! Some biologists have proposed that the reason newborn pandas are so small is because of bamboo. Panda’s main energy source is bamboo, which has very low dietetic value, and an average size panda needs around 80 pounds of bamboo per day to meet its nutritional needs! The newborn baby panda is around 15 to 17 cm, while a full-grown mouse is around 20 cm. This cute little baby panda is very light in weight.

Jellyfish looks like it has a body made of substances. But the fact is, jellyfish are about 95% of water. The rest of the 5% part is made of minerals and proteins. They have no brain, no blood, and no heart!

In our solar system, Saturn is the only plant that can float in the water. As we know that Saturn is one of the largest planets, but it is only made of gases such as hydrogen and helium. Etc. Even a person cannot stand on it. No other planet has a lower density than Saturn has. So it can float!
